It's a picture spam post! I was out at the zoo today taking pictures to use in one of my Photoshop assignments for school.

You know I have to start with the obligatory tiger picture!
This one is Nika:

Japanese Macaque (Snow Monkey) Macaca fuscata
And there's a baby!! Awww!

Meerkat Suricata suricatta

Mexican Gray Wolf Canis lupus baileyi
Naptime at the Wolf Gazebo

Moose!! Alces alces

Bactrian Camel Camelus bactrianus

And, as always, you can find all the pictures at dreamflyte.com

The Minnesota Zoo rocks.

I liked the Moose and Meercats ... ;)

Meerkats are soooo cool!

hee hee. Yeah. And the baby was a little piggy. I was waiting for it to lift it's head for the picture and it wouldn't stop eating! :)

I was really glad the Meerkats were still outside. I was afraid they'd already be in with the Aardvark for their 'winter' home. Very hard to get pictures of them in there.

Yeah, and incredibly easy to photograph with no glass or cage between you!
I'm considering using this photo for my meerkat icon instead, because I just love how off kilter he is!

Wow, these are stellar photos. Unbelievably clear and very professional. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!
:)
When I take pictures at the zoo I always like to try not to have any cages, fences, etc in the picture. I know that pics of things like tigers are obviously taken at a zoo, but that doesn't mean I want it showing! The Japanese Macaques and the Mexican Grey Wolves are two of the first pics I've posted in a loooooong time where you can see 'zoo' backgrounds. I just couldn't resist the baby monkey though!
