I get to go shopping for a bridesmaid dress tomorrow.
It is going to be pale pink......

Those of you who know me in real life, when is the last time you saw me wear pale pink???

Yeah, that's what I thought.

I think that if I hadn't been friends with this girl for over 20 years now there would be no way on all the Gods' green earths that I'd be doing this.

See, this is why I didn't have bridesmaids at my wedding. I didn't want to have to choose amongst my female friends, and I certainly didn't want to force them to get dresses! Pink indeed...depending on the shade, it may not be that bad.

I wonder if the world's *hideous dress manufacturing consortium* would crumble if bridesmaids dresses suddenly lost their appeal.

Yikes about the color choice. Pale pink only looks good on people with dark or olive skin tones. The rule is that if it's darker than your skin, it'll make you look washed out and sickly. But think of how lovely the bride will look in comparison...

For my own wedding, I had a maid of honor, no bridemaids.

For my kid Katie, we went to a store in the mall. We found a black cotton dress. It was inexpensive, she loved it, she felt comfortable in it, and she would wear it again. I've actually seen her wearing it since then. I bought it, and loaned her my litttle black cotton maryjane shoes. She looked adorable, and as sweet she is on the inside. : )

I was the maid of honor for my sister's first wedding. I was plunked into a horrible flouncy, lacy dress in YELLOW, that made me look awful! I swore that I would never do that to someone I love.

Well, I'd dress in another mess, but only because I love them! : P
