Summer's over...

The air is getting chilly, the leaves are turning colors, but I was in denial about summer being over.
Then, this morning, I was walking to my car and looked up.
Just over the Southern horizon was Orion, looking down at me. Damn. I guess summer is over after all...

Yeah ... it's changing .. soon .. the dark is coming and it's going to be a long winter. At least you already got the windows covered, I'm not looking forward to doing that this year ..

I was cold this morning. I was trying to deny it too but at night I can smell the frost in the air and feel winter coming in my bones .. the trees can feel it too... it's almost as if they have changed, and not just the leaves .. they look sad now.
