No, but I did date a convicted felon. I was still in high school -the felony had been theft, but he came from a good Swedish/Jehovah Witness family, so I kind of looked past his youthful indiscretions!

I don't know if Oed_1 knew about that one! I had forgotten about it!

Nope, I did too. He got a DUI and killed some people.......Gads.....of course, this was done after I quit dating him.

Arrested for murder, or manslaughter?

Mine was a flat out killed someone murder. Step-father I believe. I dated him in 10th grade, the murder was when I was a freshman in college.

Based on my extensive knowledge of the Criminal Justice System (CSI, Law & Order, Quincy, etc) I'd guess manslaughter, just because murder generally has to be pre-meditated.

I really don't know. I was at college at the time it happened and it was in a small town up north. I wouldn't even have known except that my sister either heard on the news or saw in the paper about how R__ H___ S___, age 19, was arrested. Same name (including relatively unique middle name) and right age. We never did learn any details about it. But since he had family up north it had to be him.

This reminds me of the time when my sister and I were driving home, and we suddenly wondered..."I wonder what happened to that weird guy..." who kept asking my sister to marry him (this was at the U during a brief stint in her career in the architecture school) He was weird and always quoting Neitze. She never did go out with him. That evening we found out, because he was on the news inciting white supremisist riots on campus!
