Excuse me while I just lay down over here and die...

Home sick today. And it's not a mental health kind of sick either because I can't afford any sick days on my record at the moment. It is a "I'm going to die soon and it will be a relief" kind of sick. I was up several times in the middle of the night in the bathroom & when I checked my temp this morning it was 99.9. I know that's not extraordinarily high, but I'm usually a 97.6 person rather than a 98.6. Also, there was the dizziness, probably from fluid loss. And the incredible aching in my midsection. It apparently takes a lot of muscles to turn every bit of food in your system into liquid.
Blah
So I am home. I finally emerged from the bedroom at about 3:00. My fever has jumped up to 100.4. Had plans to go to a friends birthday dinner tonight, but I don't think this illness would be an appropriate gift to give her. Since I really don't trust my body with food right now I think I'm going to have some Slimfast because then I can at least get some nutrients into me.

Do you need me to bring anything? Call if you do. Fluids, girl, with that temp.

Hey there. Thanks, but I spent most of the day sleeping. Did drink lots of water & Rick brought home 7-Up. (When we were kids & we were sick we would always have 7-Up in a glass with ice. I'm not sure if it helps anything, but it's a requirement!) Today I'm still feeling kind of crappy. My tummy feels like someone spent an hour punching it. :(

We always did the 7-up thing too! It is also now a requirement for me anytime I am sick. Although I sometimes will have ginger ale instead....which is also really good.
