I win! and a blog pimp!

Two of my pictures posted yesterday were of birds.

The first one is obviously a Red-winged Blackbird.

I was using my field guides to try to figure out what the brown bird was (it's so much easier with birds that have color!) My best guess was that it was a female Red-winged Blackbird, but I wasn't confidant enough to say for sure.

So I did what any sensible person would do... I emailed an expert!

I was right! The Birdchick says so. :)

I started reading her blog a couple months ago after following a link from Neil Gaiman's blog and I've become hooked. This was right about the time I started having so many bird sightings while doing my

hundredpics photos.

If you have even a vague passing interest in birds you should check it out. Also, she has a really cute pet bunny!

So, to sum it up, I was right, the brown bird with brown wings is a Red-winged Blackbird, and the birdchick's blog is cool.
